Patterns from the great beyond.

Here’s what I love

  • Stashing patterns
  • antique shopping or window shopping for the weird ones.

Last night I was doing only one of those things but it sort of turned into another. Now it is a blog post! I was trying to look for this pattern. With no intention to be a sexy stormtrooper. A cosplay I want needs a skirt of either leather or vinyl so my sister mentioned this as a start. It didn’t come up with lady stormtrooper or sexy stormtrooper pattern so since it was apart of their cosplay line I tried “comic con pattern”

This was far from the first pattern to come up but I found a few things I didn’t know existed or why they actually did?  Like anything vintage you wonder about it’s life before it comes in your hands, so if anyone has any memories of these patterns, please share!

I would first off like to point out that the Ms. Piggy pattern is not just a costume but a Vogue pattern. I don’t know for how long vogue has been offering patterns but dressing like Ms. Piggy should always be high fashion.  Also I first saw Fievel Goes West on treat day in Kindergarten about seven years after it was released. I want to know the kids who loved it enough to wear those almost terrifying costumes.

I really dig the set with Wonder Woman, Catwoman and Batgirl. I just love thinking of little girls idolizing these supergirls before it was so cool for girls to love superheros. I kinf of also wish to make a Wonder Woman romper for myself.
